The Board of Ilesa Business School has approved the addition of six certificate courses for the school centre for entrepreneurship and vocational studies, to kick start the vocational studies programme, commencing in the summer of 2018.
The courses approved are;
Events Decoration and Management,
Catering and Hospitality Management,
Cinematography and Video Editing,
Fashion and Textile Designs,
and Make-Up Artistry.
Entrepreneurship Development is approved as a general course for all trainees of the Centre.
The vocational studies at IBSchool is designed to provide a multifaceted approach to skill acquisition and entrepreneurial skills learning. It aims at preparing youths for the world of work with which the individuals become self reliant and contribute to the social and economy development of the society.
The centre is establishing a strategic partnership with accredited master trainers and relevant institutions for curriculum administration, internship, and mentoring services for her graduates.
Opportunity is also opened to the trainees to obtain trade test certificate from the National Business And Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB). This will give the trainees who are unemployed, a golden opportunity to be gainfully employed, and those already employed to secure promotion at their various places of work.
